Hi,

since three weeks mkgmap crashes when calculating the sea data.

It's always a java/lang/OutOfMemoryError.
In the past decade I run the process with 8GB, now I see the same even with 64GB. The only thing which changed at that time is the OSM data. I updated to the latest OpenJDK 8u492 build 09 with OpenJ9 0.59.0 virtual machine, with no change.

Since suddenly all memory get's eaten up, my impression is there is somewhere a recursion or something similar. Any ideas what this could be? I fixed today all costline errors in OSM, no change.

What I'm doing is:
osmcoastline -v -i -f -r -c 0 -p land -s WGS84 -g 'ESRI Shapefile' -o coastline-20260528100000 planet-20260528100000.osm.pbf /usr/lib64/jvm/jre-1.8.0-openj9/bin/java -Xmx32768M -cp /usr/share/java/mkgmap.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/splitter-412.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/commons-pool.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/gt-api.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/gt-cql.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/gt-data.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/gt-main.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/gt-metadata.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/gt-opengis.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/gt-referencing.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/gt-shapefile.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/jsr.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/jts.jar:/usr/share/java/mkgmap-SeaGenerator/vecmath.jar uk.me.parabola.mkgmap.sea.optional.PrecompSeaGenerator coastline-20260528100000/land_polygons.shp WGS84 sea-20260528100000

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Thorsten
