Hi Thorsten

I've downloaded land-polygons-complete-4326. Is it correct to use this rather
than the split version?

I chose geotools-35.0 from http://sourceforge.net/projects/geotools/files/ as it
seems to be the latest.

Adapting your script, I can't find:
  ${geotools}/gt-data.jar
  ${geotools}/gt-opengis.jar
  ${geotools}/vecmath.jar
from the above download - presumably this will cause the failure I see

Using splitter and mkgmap (with optional components) built from recent sources
and OpenJDK 64-bit 21.0.11.0.10-2 I get as far as:

$ java -ea -cp ../mkgmap/mkgmap.jar:../splitter/splitter.jar:geotools-
35.0/lib/gt-api-35.0.jar:geotools-35.0/lib/gt-cql-35.0.jar:geotools-35.0/lib/gt-
data-35.0.jar:geotools-35.0/lib/gt-main-35.0.jar:geotools-35.0/lib/gt-metadata-
35.0.jar:geotools-35.0/lib/gt-opengis-35.0.jar:geotools-35.0/lib/gt-referencing-
35.0.jar:geotools-35.0/lib/gt-shapefile-35.0.jar:geotools-35.0/lib/jsr-
35.0.jar:geotools-35.0/lib/jts-35.0.jar:geotools-35.0/lib/vecmath-35.0.jar
uk.me.parabola.mkgmap.sea.optional.PrecompSeaGenerator land-polygons-complete-
4326/land_polygons.shp WGS84 sea-latest

Error: Unable to initialize main class
uk.me.parabola.mkgmap.sea.optional.PrecompSeaGenerator
Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
org/opengis/referencing/crs/CoordinateReferenceSystem

Should I start with a different version of geotools

Thanks
Ticker
