I need to make a correction here. Norbert(Noreen) and Richard were never
married. Noreen had accepted Richard's proposal of marriage less than a
month before they arrived in Metamor in 706. They gambled on the Curse's
effects and lost. Their hopes and dreams of starting a family were
destroyed, for neither Lothanasi nor Ecclesia will wed two men, but they
refused to put aside their love. Like the knight Egland and his squire
Intoran, Norbert and Richard live together in sin.
The fact that Norbert and Richard are lovers is an open secret within the
Fellowship, though Pascal, by necessity, is also aware of their continued
relationship.
