It's a legit message send to his entire contact list, produced by this
site Goodreads.
"Markel1970a" probably didn't check what the website took from his
contact list and it ended up sending an email to every email address,
which included mailing lists like MKGuild and the TSA.
It's more or less like trying to send a Facebook/Linkedin/whatever
invite to a mailing list.
