I wouldn't go so far as to say it's 'The' magic organization of Sathmore; there
are Guilds aplenty, and many of them claim to be 'The' magical authority in
Sathmore. This, of course, leads to plenty of conflicts between the guilds
both above and below board.
Having read your wiki details I would say that this organization comes the
closest to official authority, but I would probably pare its numbers down,
otherwise it would overwhelm pretty much every other guild out there, including
Metamor and Marigund.
As well, it *wants* to crush them and actively works to make the life of other
guilds bureaucratic hell. It also seeks to absorb any un-guilded mage that
they encounter. Getting *into* the guild is easy - do it or get arrested,
manna-blocked, killed, or worse - advancing beyond the lowest of the Master
ranks is extremely difficult. Beyond Master things become extremely political.
It also seeks to control how much magic is available to the public and at what
costs (this being pretty much a universally embraced idea in Sathmore and a
good bit of the Midlands) and is one of the few things that guilds work
together to maintain. It is one of the major reasons un-guilded mages like
Murikeer loathe the guilds. Since this guild is closely associated with the
throne it's activities support the throne and its sales fatten the treasury
immensely.
I would even hazard to say that almost the entirety of the ruling Families are
mages (usually minor or middling) and members of a sub-chapter of this guild,
considering its purported size, influence, and reach.
Ryx.

I am in the midst of doing a story set in the Arenul Ceen (The magic
organization) in Sathmore. Are there any details I need to watch out for? Any
story lines in motion?
