The map has issues only in the sense that the valley mouth is too
wide at the southern end. The map of just the valley also has
issues in that it created a city out of nowhere to be at the bottom
of the valley just outside the Curse that directly contravened what
everyone had already been writing about Metamor Valley, namely, that
Midtown was the nearest town outside the Curse and on the main
trading route south.
I consider the earlier maps more valid because they line up with
what, to date, people have written about Metamor Keep.

south thru Laselle and then Midtown. There is another route
available. It goes from Menth and by passes Midtown. Exactly where
it reaches the valley I never figured. But it must be NORTH of
Midtown. The road that heads west out of Laselle originally led to
Ceasarath. But with that cities destruction now it just fades away.
The road to Menth could could connect to it. Allowing a round about
and much longer route to anf from the valley that avoids Midtown.

The only maps I see that label Laselle so far show it on the main road
through the valley next to the river but all the other maps showing
the rest of the Midlands show Midtown on the main road going
south(east) from the valley border to Komley. The other road going
south from the valley border goes southwest to Menth then southeast to
Sorin and east back to Komley, nearly a twice as long trip overall,
not likely to be a main route for purely travel distance reasons.
Tolls for passage through Midtown vs. lesser or nonexistent ones for
passage through Sorin and Menth may offset the inconvenience of a
longer trip for some travelers (caravans of merchants and cargo
haulers in particular).
