I can confirm this behaviour for 2.5-30.15 gotten from
http://download.berlios.de/pub/mldonkey/spiralvoice/cores/Linux/mldonkey-2.5-30.15.static.i386-Linux.tar.bz2
Downloads need to be "confirm yes"'d but they are still not cancelled.
Instead abovementioned error appears in the log.
