Hi Sid, I think that I have written about this project on the mailing list but I can't seem to find the reply I am thinking of now; you should take a look through the archives: http://knife.lugatgt.org/pipermail/mlpack/ Definitely a good first step to take is to study the mlpack codebase closely and become familiar with its API, so that you can design a cross-validation module or hyper-parameter tuning code that is flexible and generic.
