Hi Neel,

I am not the mentor for the project but I can help answer these
questions.

1) You are welcome to apply for whatever you think is reasonable. For
some modules that may be proposed, it will take an entire summer to
implement one; for others, it may be reasonable to implement many.

2) In the past this has happened, yes.

3) No. In all cases, the preference for selection has to do with the
quality of the proposal. It is reasonable that an excellent proposal
that only implements one module could be accepted; it's also reasonable
that an excellent proposal with many modules could be accepted.

My advice would be to be clear in your proposal about what you will
implement, how you will implement and test it, how it will fit in with
the rest of the library, the timeline for the work, and how users will
use it. Those are not all of the qualities of a strong proposal but if
you work on making your proposal strong in those areas it is a good
start.

Thanks,

Ryan
