Yes, as long as the network share is mounted into the unix filesystem. > ii) Can Melted handle 'growing' files? maybe, depending on the file format and the way its written. For example, a TS file does not have a specific head and tail structure and is one of the more suitable formats. You would have to provide an explicit length override. This is not tested by myself, but perhaps other melt or melted users have tinkered with this. > iii) Is it possible to compile Melted for Windows? not at the moment, and sorry I am not available to work on it. > Best Regards > > Mark > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Dan > Dennedy > Sent: 02 July 2012 19:49 > To: [email protected] > Cc: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [Mlt-devel] Melted Capabilty > > On Mon, Jul 2, 2012 at 10:31 AM, Mark, Mark Hooper Ltd > <[email protected]> wrote: >> Hi, >> >> I am looking to playback XDCAM 422 50 MBit MXF files with 4 channels >> of audio with Blackmagic SDI Decklink hardware - is this possible with > Melted? >> >> Many thanks >> > > Yes. > > After you add a MCVP "unit" with > > UADD decklink > > You need to configure the unit with > > USET U0 consumer.channels=4 > > And if your MXF files have the audio on more than one track/stream (check > with something like mediainfo or ffprobe), then you have to tell melted to > include all tracks with: > > USET U0 producer.audio_index=all > > -- > +-DRD-+ > -- +-DRD-+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
