I have no filter suggestion, but I have used Audacity in the past with
its noise removal feature as well as its "sample pen" tool while
zoomed way in on the waveform. It is a problem similar to removing
pops and scratches from digitizing vinyl. So, you might be able to
find info by doing a web search around that topic,
