They are still maintained. Every new build changes the filename, but perhaps that can be changed if desired. Or, maybe you can integrate this RSS feed into a page on the website: http://builds.meltytech.com/kdenlive/latest.rss Those downloads go through Amazon CloudFront distributed load balancer, so they can handle any traffic load little old kdenlive.org can send its way. :-) The Shotcut page shows that I have done some very basic testing of the Ubuntu builds on other distros like Debian and openSUSE. I have not tested them very extensively, and perhaps kdelibs versions may cause more grief for Kdenlive. The Ubuntu build machines are due to be upgraded to 12.04 bu the end of April. With Shotcut I have discovered a couple of libs that are not very likely to be found from one distro version to the next: SoX and GLEW (only needed for new opengl module). So, in the build-shotcut script, I am copying those libs to the app bundle.
