Can you provide more detail on what you are trying to accomplish? Do you want 
one image to fade into another?
There are some examples of making fades 
here:http://www.mltframework.org/bin/view/MLT/MltMeltSee section "Reversing a 
Transition". Just replace "a.dv" with "a.jpg" for images.
