Please excuse hijacking this list, I hope it is not too far off: What would you recommend as a hardware platform to turn some minutes of 2160p (4k UHD) footage into a 60 seconds clip ready for OpenDCP? No compositing, just edits and transitions, few cuts. Preferably using shotcut over mlt (ubuntu or mac), preferably live preview with sound in sync.
Can this even be told? CPU i3/5/7? RAM 4/8/more GB? certain GPU features? SSD?
