Hey, MLTers, I have some experience with MLT and Shotcut. They are great. But in my opinion, the biggest systematic deficiency is real HDR support, that is processing 10-16bit frame data, and exporting HDR video with Rec2020 color space and at least 10bit pixel format. I have noticed that Shotcut is planning to solve this problem with an unscheduled milestone. I was wondering if someone, like me, is willing to take some time to code for this, can this problem be solved easier and faster? If so, can some other MLTers provide their valuable suggestions about this task? And maybe we can code collaboratively to speed up.
