How mant nic cards do you have installed on your Linux machine. Well is you have just one.. which is either directly connected to the Spedd home modem.. or connected to a hub and the modem in connected to the Uplink (the later is my setup at home). enter into the internet wizard and uncheck the lan property.. and select the optin to configure your ADSL connection. I will automatically assigne the IP 10.0.0.10 to your nic, (becasue the Speed Touch home has as default the IP 10.0.0.138. select the PPTP and the protocal to connect to the modem. do reconfigure your the NIC IP cause It will overright the IP selected by wizard and the ADSL connect will fail. you can use 194.158.37.196 (primary) secondary (194.158.37.211) (secondary).. even though you are connected to another ISP apart of maltanet.. the DNS server just convests the domain name into an IP.. irrespectively of who is your ISP. Th egate way will be allocated automatically to you as soon you connect ti the ISP. regards Roderick Scotto Linux Reg no 243424 _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp - --------------------------------------------------------------------- You received this message because you are subscribed to the linux mailing list.
