Hi Keith,

Thanks for the comments :)

Actually you can use the Maltese language in konsole on MDK8.1 too. However
8.2 is better at setting everything up for you - with 8.1 you have to set up
some things yourself and experiment a bit to get it working.

For v8.1, try the following:
+ Make sure the "locales-mt" package is installed
+ In Konsole's settings menu, set the font to "unicode" or choose a font with
the Maltese characters.
+ type "export LC_ALL=mt_MT.ISO8859-3"
+ type "ls -l" or "date" to test it - the dates should be in Maltese.

If you create a file which uses the Maltese letters in Konqueror, you should
still see it with Maltese letters in konsole, if everything is set up
correctly.

Unfortunately, the translated text in the installation has some mistakes.
Unlike other "standalone" programs I couldn't test the installation until it
was ready on CDs, and I was a bit hard pressed for time. You will notice for
example in the screenshots that some phrases in the "list of steps" text
along the section on the left is too long, I've got to shorten them.
