Instructions to unsubscribe from this list at the end of the message - --------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear List,
Good work, we've found several companies using Linux, in one way or another. I'm sure Ramon and Mark can help us further, in representing their companies in the articles. We need more companies for a regular, so please keep looking ;). Here's a proposal for the structure of the articles: 1.) Brief introduction on a key Linux concept 2.) Account of a company using Linux in Malta - giving details on implementation and success 3.) FIXME: Brief user section (section for everyday Linux users)?? 4.) Conclusion Please let me know what you think ;) Do you think we should first contact a magazine/supplement and then do the articles, or vice versa? Oh, we're going to do this for free, right? We might be able to use this to try to figure out >which OS's are being used by various ISPs Yes. We can also use netcraft (http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph/) this monitors web servers and attempts at guessing the OS running on a server (and it's usually correct ;) We could always use netcraft, then contact a company to verify... It correctly identified linux.org.mt: "The site linux.org.mt is running Apache Coyote/1.0 on Linux." I don't know about the ST thing. They don't (or I couldn't find) a website for the particular Maltese branch.
