Instructions to unsubscribe from this list at the end of the message - --------------------------------------------------------------------- Kevin,
Thanks for your quick reply! I received the Kylix 3 open edition licence (reg92.txt), and placed it in my home folder (/home/keith). I did this before I installed Kylix 3. If I haden't done this step, a wizard would come up when I try to run Kylix 3 asking me to register, and if I had skipped this it would say 'unregistered' in the Kylix 3 opening screen. However, when I start Kylix 3, it loads perfectly, without bringing any registration problems. I'm currently using Redhat Linux 9.0. I've tried installing both as root and as myself, but the same thing happens. Here's how I installed: Downloaded Kylix 3 Open Edition tar.gz file Extracted to /home/keith/temp ran installation script ( I chose to install it to /home/keith/programs/kylix3). I've always installed to /home/keith/kylix3 before, maybe that's the problem? Hope you can help, Thanks, Keith On Fri, 2003-05-23 at 12:59, Kevin Attard Compagno wrote: > Instructions to unsubscribe from this list at the end of the message > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > Keith > > I've installed Kylix & if I am not mistaken there are instructions on > the web site regarding placing a license file into a specific directory. > > You should have received the license file by email when you requested > the download. > > The symptoms you indicate were the same I had before I resolved the > license issue. > > Hope this helps. > > Meanwhile, if you include the distro name with your question, it would > make troubleshooting easier in some cases. > > Kevin > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Keith Vassallo > Sent: 23 May 2003 12:37 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [LINUX.ORG.MT] Kylix 3 > > Instructions to unsubscribe from this list at the end of the message > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > Hello List, > > I recently had to format my entire computer.
