Hey all, got a problem with the linux machine I just
set up. I'm running Red Hat 8.0. My adsl router is
connected to a 5 port hub and so is the linux machine
and another two Windows machines. RH detects the NIC
card and I assigned an IP to the linux machine
(10.0.0.3), subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and set the
gateway to 10.0.0.138. I also specified the DNS
servers of my ISP. The problem is that there still is
no internet connection on the linux machine.. it keeps
trying to resolve the addresses i enter in the
browser. I get a ping reply from my other machines and
also the modem so I'm guessing it's something to do
with DNS resolving. Any ideas?
