Hi John,
As both are using the same root (software I mean), you should be able to use
the lilo config file from one distro to another.
As soon as you have in /etc the file called "lilo.conf" try the command
lilo -t -v
- -t comes from TEST and
- -v comes from VERBOSE
which means that you will see what will be when you will type the command,
but in factr nothing will be done for your system.
If you don't see any error messages, just go for it with lilo -v
As regards libpng error, try and update your libs with a new version. Most
probably, you have the latest xine, which in turn, claims the latest libs.
