Who else will be participating?<br> <br> IMO, the MLUG should concentrate on promoting Linux/Open-Source Software, rather than dumping Microsoft (though that's my favourite hobby too). Maybe we could set up a part of the stand to show people that there is an alternative to Microsoft software - something that many people aren't really aware of.<br> <br> Unfortunately Linux got stereotyped as the OS for those who hate Microsoft, but I want to promote it as a great choice in its own right, even for those who have no particular problem with MS and its software. We could set up part of the stand with the theme "You have a choice", running a demonstration of a variety of products including Linux, OpenOffice, Mozilla, XMMS, etc.<br> <br> Note that we'll have to bring our own PCs etc if we want to run a demo.
