I don't think companies will ever bother to stick to all standards if IE works fine on their site. Reasoning goes roughly: Most people use IE anyways, so why bother. Maybe Mozilla should clean up its act and be more IE-like in its relaxed handling of non-perfect code and design. It's nice to aim for the ideal, but the real world is very imperfect. In our Maltalinks page index, for example, we found some really *disastrous* HTML out there -- but this does not mean that our systems should not be able to handle them, especially if people insist on publishing stuff without much regard for standards.
