Good job Keith, it's just plain and simple (always assume that the
regular joe knows nothing).
If only every Linux user assumes that!

I will help you with other sections if you
want (and when I have time!
Yes, please do. Feel free to add anything you want or modify my stuff. The more people we have working on this the faster we can finish it and the more content we can add

I really envy that you have so much time to
spare)
Well... 2 half days a week of school doesn't tire me much :D Of course, exams are coming up so I'll have to study. Apart from that though.. hehe :P:P

Ah another thing - I wouldn't say "So sit back, but don't relax, it's
going to be a hectic ride!" - That would scare them off :p Just say
something like "Sit back and relax as this is going to be one of your
most interesting journeys in the cyberworld" xi haga hekk imsomma
I like it. Thanks.

Cheers

Jamez.

Mandrake seems to be your favourite, so I will.

I've done a pilot article here (it's far from finished) :

http://linux.org.mt/articles/Wiki.jsp?page=TheNoviceUserHowto

Please take a look at it. We need someone to do each section, in the same simplistic style as the rest of the article. Before we do so, however, I think we should define some guidelines and solve some queries

which I presonally have:

1) Let's say I'm explaining that you can use OpenOffice.org Writer to produce documents. Should I simply explain how to launch it and what it does, or should I give worked examples on using the program?

2) People, please submit your ideas for more sections etc.. Also, if you

want to do a section yourself (even from the ones I listed) please go ahead and do so, that's the purpose of a Wiki.

Keith
