Hello, The point was that you cannot build completely all available packages on the fly in gentoo, like someone told here.
I work in KDE environment too, but I guess you have gtk libraries installed. If you don't want to try, then there no point to continue discussion. I live fine without this gui wrapper. Regarding subversion, do not forget to update it every week to patch new bugs.
