Hi, I recently read that Yahoo are upgrading their mapping service. I checked it out and it only applies to the US and Canada. Similar story for Google. I found that Michelin do a European mapping service, but Malta was not listed in their list of countries (maybe we're in Africa). If you enter Italy as the nearest country and Valletta as your town, you get directed to a place in Northern Italy.
