Hey, I was kinda busy this week, But I said I was gonna write something and
send it to you then you share it on the list, defeats the anonymity a bit
doesn't it. The point is that I don't want to publicly reply to some one
with my same surname. This list is public, but the letter will 'formally' be
sent out by someone else at least, I'm just lending in a hand.

Now all the points made by raphel and ramon are good ones but the problem is
that that's too many points. If we can keep it short, more people will read
it (it's intended as a letter to editor not an article). If we get a
counter-reply we can use the other points to reply back. alternatively, If
we don't get a counter reply (particularly to the pointy last sentence) then
not enough people took notice anyway. I feel more comfortable if kieth does
the corrections, so it has a few authors.

regarding the points:
Raphel:
well Megabyte is not a sponsor of the mirror, but they are our longest
standing sponsors, so well ok.
fr. Peter talks a lot about education, but the reply tries to focus on the
OSL idea, lets try and be focused (oss for educ can be a whole article)
The last point also breaches a new subject, can it be made subtly?

Ramon:
1. Point taken!
2. doh! but very briefly, someone will try it and reply to complain that its
not good enough which will give us ammunition to demand more resources. (or
someone will laud it graces no end, which is also good)
3. I disagree, It is our fault (as linux users) we are not reported enough,
don't be like AN; do not bang your feet the media is not covering you, if
anything do not do it through that very same media, do something worth
covering, first. (at least that will probably be the editor's and readers
POV)

just me 2c, edit as you please otherwise.
