I recently installed Ubuntu 8.04 on my IBM T42 and got this Java problem which till now I can't solve. I installed Java Version 6 Update 6 (build 1.6.0_06-b02) but somehow Firefox 2 refuses to learn that Java is installed, Java websites keep complaining that Java is not installed! I tried re-installing it but nothing changed. Any ideas?
