The layout issue is fixed. The issue was with some divs in the article. When I formatted the article, it inserted 4 divs on top and 4 divs at the bottom.
That is ok... if you look at the whole article but on the front page only the first paragraph is shown. So it opens 4 divs but never closes them ... ... and breaks ..
