Hey all, Was just calculating something for next time we are at Irrera and I wanted to get some feedback if my assumptions are correct:
I am assuming that 100 watts would be a generous average power consumption for a laptop, and that the commercial rate per unit of electricity is 5.5c (Maltese) So 0.1kWH x Lm 0.055 = Lm 0.0055 per hour per laptop or Eu 0.0128. I believe there were 6 laptops at today's meeting, and we were there for about 3 hours, so that would make a total of Eu 0.23 we would have owed Irrera right? I say this because of the issue they seemed to make out of us plugging in today. Anybody into physics out there able to tell me if my calculation is right or wrong? Sorry if the post is kind of off topic.
