Except that FreedomDisc sounds a bit corny. Remember Freedom Fries instead of French Fries?
Let me try and combine some ideas: 1. Geeky (use and algorithim to create name) 2. Refer back to OpenDisc 3. Modifiable by target group 4. Has a decent Acronym So I think we can take OD from Open Disc, and S from students so the name is OD+x+S where x is based on course name. this gives us: IT students: ODITS (which sound like Odd Bits) Engeering: ODEngS (which could sound like Odd Ends) Educ studs.: ODEduS (which sounds like nothing but is OK) And then we could be boringly democratic and have a poll :-( Philip P.S. I still prefer my original FreeCoder idea, but we could come up with a 12 and 1 alternatives: "Alumni Freedom Disc" "Open Developer Disc" "Free IT Toolkit" (Uff kemm int FITT) "Learn Freedom" "Code Liberation Kit" etc... etc... :-) 2008/6/23 Sebastian Cachia <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > Add 1337D|$( to the list of names to go together with EmoTux. > > I like the OpenDisc-IT idea too as it leaves us open to come up with > different versions. Freedom/OpenDisc-Eng would be a good place to start too. > > _______________________________________________ > MLUG-list mailing list > [email protected] > http://linux.org.mt/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mlug-list > > _______________________________________________ MLUG-list mailing list [email protected] http://linux.org.mt/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mlug-list
