Ramon,

You took the words right out of my mouth!

I will contact a few people at newspapers, I'm sure the technology supplements would be interested in this.

In the mean time, Daniel has been kind enough to forward my questions to Microsoft. I shall await their reply before contacting the media.

Does anyone have any clue on how to submit a PQ or a question to an MP/ MEP?

Are there any lawyers on the list who can definitely confirm 1) The agreement not being governed by the DPA and 2) Out ability to get this info via the freedom of info act?

Thanks,

K

Daniel,

The Data Protection Act ONLY deals with personal information, not with agreements such as this.

I wonder whether any newspapers might be willing to take up this matter and try to get the government to publish the conditions of the agreement.

This is the official answer I got when I wrote to Microsoft Malta.

No daniel the Agreement, similar to other Government Agreements is bound by certain data protection. if you need to know anything just ask.

Is it possible to have a copy of the agreement reached between microsoft and the government of Malta?

So we are still in the dark ages! Why do we pay taxes? Do we have the right to know how much money it's going to cost us? Are we tied to just microsoft?
