There has been some progress in Education in Malta in the sense that
some open source programs are being advertised: gimp, scribus, tux
paint, tux maths etc...... skola Incredibly our school has been one of the few selected by Microsoft (just 30 in the whole world) to experiment with new programs for educational purposes. I would show some of the programs in the next meeting. They are trying to attract children's attention by giving lego connected electronically......all the other programs can be found in Linux (obviously using different programs but doing the same functions and more) st paul's bay school Regarding the issue of microsoft, some bullies are saying that we still need the permission of MITA to install programs......but the ICT person who said it, has many many other programs which obviously are not known by MITA!!!!!
