Hi guys, My wubi install of 10.10 was already buggy and debconf launched when 11.04 was being upgraded... personally the new interface just killed it (and i don't mean in the good) i got used to the ubuntu interface, and the new menu its more messy then the organised one, especially now that i am going o administer 40 Ubuntu's in a company networked with 20 windows and a windows server...
i guess i better make copies of 10.04 lts anyways thats my opinion... peace, love, linux Warren -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, May 01, 2011 9:16 AM To: [email protected] Subject: MLUG-list Digest, Vol 84, Issue 1 Send MLUG-list mailing list submissions to [email protected] To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://linux.org.mt/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mlug-list or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to [email protected] You can reach the person managing the list at [email protected] When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of MLUG-list digest..." I'm kind of apprehensive about the new interface breaking my carefully assembled linux box.... last upgrade, my scanner didn't work and it needed a day of googling and tweaking to get it moving again... If it becomes like windows where we can just change a few flashy things but not more, then the community will look for alternatives....... Daniel > Hi All, > > Anyone installed 11.04? I am still using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS but tweaked with: The Kernel is 2.6.38-8 patched for lucid Nividia graphic kernel is 260.19.44 LibreOffice 3.3.2 Thunderbird 3.1.10 with Charemel 1.4.1 theme. Rhythmbox and Evolution removed, and lots more minor changes. So will be staying away from Unity 11.04 as I'm happy with my current setup.
