Hmmm, I think I'll give it a month or so to settle down... what worries me now is that everything seems to be working fine and I use Ubuntu on my main computer which functions as a server... I'd hate to have it messed up and start all over again.
My 2ps worth is that canonical should have left the gnome 2.x desktop as an option, as I think they are going to remove it in the future...
