Good morning all The current Domains that i run that contain strains of Linux are and will be:
www.ossmalta.com ( Linux.ossmalta subsite will be built as a brief description of the Linux communities and life in Malta) Linuxmalta.co.cc will soon be closed down due to the fact that is host will soon end ( it was built for the purpose of marketing to Home and office users to use Linux) Those that don't involve linux are: winmalta.co.cc soon to be shut down, ossmalta.tk & ossmalta.co.cc are web forwarders, aswell as linuxmalta.tk Also these sites are handled by me for my clients thegalleryhairstudiomalta.com, constructfurniture.com.mt, beautyelegancesalon.com Also i would like to point out that i have been sponsored a minimum run of 1,000 A4 poster prints in 4 colour by a local printer on 90 to 150 GSM (for this month) as a recycling plan to reuse paper that was meant to be thrown away but are still good for small prints I am willing to share this with MLUG buy Giving half of it meaning an A5 size advert... may it be landscape or portrait, i'm flexible on design as the other half is for OSSMALTA.Com which by the way is an "Open Source Society" meaning it may not just be on software but also on local info and information that may be deemed good for the states economic growth! Am i perfect in running a good informational site on no cash? the answer is no, its one of the reasons i opened up a classifieds section (besides to drive traffic) and for radio & tv its general (open) information that are at times hard to find from the broadcasters or any government information site. there is plans for it to be one day a social networking site for programmers, artists on music, art, animation and so on to make an open creative community, I know its a long shot and at times i may divert for a while from the original plan due to experiments, but that's what happens when i don't have proper support from a community like MLUG for linux. As a side Note Before judging do your research well, not every one may update a site that will be phased out. Also i have been in contact with the oss.org.mt however i found the governments involvement into the oss world a major joke... MLUG and my involvement with OOo has done more on less cash flow then the government department ever done. also a special thanks to some of the Linux users and supporters that i have come to befriend and continue to bash my head with new ways of using my wubi/ubuntu installations (which with the new Ubuntu seems like i may go back to windows or try a new distro) as they (and they know who they are) have always been helpful in respective of their level of computer knowlage p.s I won't mind assisting in marketing the linux community in malta, as i am also a ubuntu user for now a 10.10, hated that i had to delete my 11.04 wubi install on my netbok -- Warren Camilleri <[email protected]> Founding Member of The Open Source Society Malta community Mobile: +356 7991 2004 Skype: ossmalta | Twitter: @ossmalta _______________________________________________ MLUG-list mailing list [email protected] http://linux.org.mt/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mlug-list
