This is an example of how dangerous it can to be slaved to a closed source
application.

If I remember well, Debian comes with gnash as the opensource alternative
to Adobe's Flash. It works with youtube, but I suspect that it is not as
widely supported.

I am using Chromium now as it is open source but it crashes badly sometimes
and takes forever to compile. However, if I were to choose a single
browser, I would opt for Firefox as it has all the features I need, even it
is slightly slower to start than Chrome/Chromium.
