Since you did not gave us enough details on the framework, we can only
reply with a similar vague response: it depends on the license (ex. BSD,
MIT, etc..). It's the license which determines whether you can close it or
not.

Now let me be frank, I can only give you an opinion here, so feel free to
acknowledge or ignore as the definite answer can be give to you by a lawyer
since you need to consider copyright issues as well - most of the
commercial software which is based on opensource, leave the code opensource
(unless they have a valid reason to close it ex. military!) and distribute
it without restriction (quoting the licence and copyright notices of the
opensource framework).

So when push comes to shove - do you really need to closesource it?
