I have 6 Western Digital drives in my NAS and they've been running for years now, no problems. I've had very bad experiences with Maxtor drives; two died on me and they ran very hot. I've also had a Seagate die on me, but they have a decent RMA process so I got a replacement rather quickly. I'd say go with whatever's cheap, but buy an extra drive and use it with some form of RAID. > b) any cheap store around? (aside Microbytes and Tigerdirect) I always buy from microbytes, they always seem to have the best prices on hard disks... > Thanks, > a. > nick _______________________________________________ mlug mailing list [email protected] https://listes.koumbit.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mlug-listserv.mlug.ca
