I have 6 Western Digital drives in my NAS and they've been running for
years now, no problems. I've had very bad experiences with Maxtor
drives; two died on me and they ran very hot. I've also had a Seagate
die on me, but they have a decent RMA process so I got a replacement
rather quickly.

I'd say go with whatever's cheap, but buy an extra drive and use it with
some form of RAID.

I always buy from microbytes, they always seem to have the best prices
on hard disks...
