I'm not sure if things have changed much since the last time I was looking for a job (2003ish) but I was unnerved by the requirements for a junior to intermediate level Linux administrator. They were expecting both a system and network administrator, as well as someone who would do Windows desktop support. To add insult to injury, the salaries (when rarely quoted) were inhumanly low for the kind of jack-of-all-trades they were expecting.
