As I reported, the 64 bit version is flawed on my system. I dl'd the 32bit
version and it works very well. Sound is back, so is some video, but not
webcam.

Firefox is back to normal, and presumably all the new features in 9.10 are back.

Perhaps I better see what I should do. To drop the 64bit version and stick to
the 32bit version or wait for the 64bit patches.  As I said, 64bit version for
me is a no-go.

I will try one more 64bit download to see if perhaps I erred in being first out
of the gate (so to speak) with downloading via bit-torrents.

I prefer to remain with 64 bit versions.  It is what I have been used to for
the past 2 years.

I've been running 9.10 for the last month or so, on a
Dell Mini 10v, and since last week on a desktop too.
This is kubuntu.  works great.  The only scary thing was  the grub-pc upgrade,
but got through that and it's fabulous.

Converted my home directory on the 64-bit desktop
to ext4 (dump & restore to get the extents active)

Did the online update and have run into all kinds of problems. Most of it stuff
that no longer works, such as sound, and very slow webb response. My system
dual core 4gigs with an E7300.

I also lost most of the games I had setup for the kids.

Is it worth saving home, and just doing a fresh install from
