A valuable tool is aptitude search (aptitude is just an alternate frontend for apt, I personally prefer it, commands are interchangeable so substitute apt-get for aptitude if you wish).
To find your answer I did 'aptitude search curl', to see all mods try 'aptitude search php5-'. Simple answer is install php5-curl and reload apache.
