Yes, thanks. I have encountered both vi and the debian mirror list :) I run many debian VMs and often find myself wanting to switch mirrors. I do not want to fire up a web browser, or manually have to type in mirrors, which often results in a typo. I have been playing with using my own repo, and using apt-proxy and now apt-cacher-ng. I have always idly thought there must be something obvious I am missing, dpkg-reconfigure apt-get would be my first assumption, which of course did not work. There is a template in /usr/share/doc/apt/examples/sources.list so I can always grab that if I want to go back to defaults.
