Hi All In my day job (accounting systems setup) I do some sysadmin work because most of my clients have no IT staff or even service contracts (worst case 5 years no backup).
I am not a start from empty office to fully running network, server and workstations guy. Who does that kind of thing in Montreal. The clients requirements are 90% handwaving and 10% misinformation at this time but the scale of it would be a server (OS not chosen because apps not chosen) 5 to 10 workstations(most likely W7), couple of shared printers and a conference room PC on a large screen/ projector. (He describe an office we both known of that has a conference room that is reminiscent of a NCIS screen system.) A long time ago I used to know the kind of people who did this work and supported the systems after install but time has passed and I have lost contact. The accounting system providers used to do this kind work just to get their systems installed but I have encountered several recently that say get a Microsoft small business server and that will solve all of your problems.
