What do I have to do to enable booting Windows? There doesn't seem to be a /boot/grub/menu.lst any more; instad there are oodles of .mod and other files.IIUC the `os-prober' package should do that for you. If it's not installed, file a bug report against Debian's installer saying that if the installer recognized the Windows partition, it should probably make sure that os-prober is installed by default. If it's not installed, file a bug report that it doesn't seem to work. Stefan "who hasn't had to use it"
The file needed is /boot/grub/grub.cfg actually, but don't edit it, edit the file I mentioned earlier or else you lose your changes when you upgrade.
I think os-prober is probably there, squeeze apparently has trouble seeing XP for some reason. Trying to break bad habits I assume ;)
