Im not familiar with Ubuntu, but ...

I'm told that Debian has already replaced OpenOffice with LibreOffice, 
at least in sid.  I don't have direct experience with this though; my 
systems are still stuc in stable and oldstable, because I haven't found 
the time to do the obvious upgrades.
