I have only used it in lab on my 30/2 Cable internet link and will be putting it in production in about 2 weeks to reserve bandwidth for VoIP on a 100Mbps (capped to 15Mbps) link.

I am using ClearOS for the distribution (CentOS based).

I am using linux tc utilities with HTB classes and SFQ for qdisc.

No I haven't look at l7 filtering method. I'll check and see what ti do.
Have you use it in prod environement?, if so how well does it perfom?

What method of QoS have you used?

Did you take a look at l7 filtering method:

 Hi,
Is anyone of you have experience implementig QOS on a 1G line?
I have try to implement QOS but look like I can't achieve more that
~350-400Mbps when QOS is activated. As soon I remove QOS I can get
throughput close to 1G limit, ~900-950Mbps

System is centos 5.6
