If you can't remember your linux admin password, boot to single user mode. That means you will be logged in as root, then just reset the password to whatever you want (using passwd). When you're booting up either select the single user mode or recovery mode (depending on distro) or select edit boot command and change it to include 'single' (google is your friend).
