Yes. They're not quite there yet. I think they're planning for multiarch to be complete post-wheezy. Debian;s oriigina plan, way back when they started it, was to have the most stable, reliable Linux distribution of all. THey're pretty careful. I just only use packages that are compile 64-bit on my 64-bit machine. I use packages compiled 32 bits on my 32-bit machine.
