Hi Mlugers

I use Fedora mainly.

I found a website for Gnome 3 tweaks, and installed two of them

a) The first was to include the poweroff option in the user menu.  Poweroff and
hybernate was added to suspend, keeping all three

b) A small icon which provides a dropdown menu, showing the legacy system,
application, games, etc.  Clicking on the games icon opens it up vertically for
games.
>From within an active program,

Using the standard configurationI can rightclick on the window, and assign it
to a dynamic window. The dynamic windows are stacked, and I can select the one
I want to see with a slide and a click.

In some way, the side screen listing allows you to put several open windows
into a virtual screen.  Gee, we had this before with G2 as the small icons that
we setup on the bottom right.

I did try kde for a while, but found it very functional but sluggish.  They
need to look at Qt use and do some pruning to reduce path lengths.

I also found a software download that provides all the closed source for Fedora
that is also found in Ubuntu. I watch and listen and do everything very happily
with Fedora.

Now I keep UBUNTU as a spare and check it out once a week to see whats new.

Are you wanting to learn a new feature, but are tired of the costs of books, or
cost of courses?  The Quebec Governments public library at Metro Berri-UQUAM
has about a thousand books (mainly English versions) for IT.  You will find the
book that you need there.  Membership is FREE as you would expect.  The library
is closed Mondays.
You should pay it a visit, if you have not been there.  I take out a book or
two, and with on-line access, do a renewal. Max time out ends up at about 2
months. (A renewal is for 2 weeks.)

I taught myself a lot about Networking, Cisco, Ruby, C++, Data Encryption, and
more.

Search the online catalog, if you want .  Its address is  www.banq.qc.ca.

Have to remind you to vote (Quebec Canada Sept 4, 2012).
